As Slate Entertainment Group (SEG) approaches its pre-sale of Slate coins (starting May 11th), SEG is proud to announce their partnership with Sitges International Fantastic Film Festival.
Sitges, a prestigious festival in Catalonia Spain, becomes the first major movie festival to accept cryptocurrency. Known for their progressive leadership in technology and genre film, including VR, Sitges is once again blazing the trail to support independent filmmakers.
“We are tremendously excited to enter the blockchain space at its inception,” says Sitges Deputy Director Mike Hostench. “We are truly excited to work with the Slate Entertainment Group, who, like us, believe in fairness and transparency for content creators and producers.”
Slate Entertainment Group is poised to launch a pre-sale offering of Slate coin (SLX) that promises to transform the entertainment industry and improve the entertainment experience. SEG will be featuring a first-in-class streaming video service call Binge that uses BVOD™ (Blockchain Video on Demand) to reduce costs and make entertainment globally accessible. SEG will also be featuring SLATIX a low-cost, secure ticketing service that also helps users discover the entertainment that suits their tastes.
SEG CEO Michael Moyal added, “We are truly excited to enter into this partnership with Sitges. They are a leading-edge film festival known for their forward thinking. We believe that one day most ticketing platforms will be powered by blockchain technology. As early adopters of the Slatix ticketing platform and Slate currency, Sitges will be one of the first in the entertainment industry to fully utilize the benefits of this technology.”
